NewslettersGroup Newsletter N°25 (UK version)I is reinventing itself... Group Newsletter N°24 (UK version)For Business & Decision, as for the other players in the sector, 2011 has been a turning point for the IT industry. Mobility, the main subject of this newsletter, cloud computing, social networks, and a number of other innovations are significantly impacting the IT world. Barriers between the professional and the private spheres
Group Newsletter N°23 (UK version)In 2010, Business & Decision overcame the economic crisis as demonstrated its growth in turnover and position in the market. Business & Decision is recognised as a key player by the world's largest vendors and analysts. It was included in Gartner's most recent BI Magic Quadrant, alongside the entire world's major non-specialist software and computing services companies, as well as its CRM Magic Quadrant for Europe. Business & Decision e-business practice is listed by Forrester as one of the most active in Europe. This recognition qualifies the Group as a privileged partner for major companies' strategic projects. Hence, while pursuing its development, Business & Decision has strengthened its relationship with the large global subcontracting clients in the banking, insurance, government, services, telecoms and distribution sectors. These clients entrust Business & Decision with projects that span over several years and have major strategic stakes. Group Newsletter N°22 (UK version)Business & Decision has built the reputation as a specialist through the Group’s capacity for sharing its expertise with its customers. Business & Decision offers its clients various mediums for information sharing, ranging from this Newsletter, to cuttingedge seminars (in association with the major players in the software market), as well as conferences for business managers and targeted one-to-ones. To remain innovative in our field of business, one must be able to identify solutions offering high added value, and invest in them early enough so that customers can take advantage of them as soon as the technology becomes applicable to them. The time span between research phase and market maturity can sometimes be considerable. The solution may never even reach production stage. The Group is currently investing in new business areas, software applications and working methods for clients as well as exploring new user behaviours and innovative project delivery modes. Over the next few weeks Business & Decision France will be organising seminars to share our experience on the impact of mobility or social media on your business, BI and CRM innovation, cloud logic, and the benefits of environmental responsibility concerning Information Systems. We will also be conducting a state-of-the-art Solvency II review for the insurance sector and presentation on the evolution of Compliance in regulated industries. We will analyse key vendors’ future strategies through our participation in major events, such as OpenWorld to present our insight on Oracle’s strategy. We are constantly surveying the software market for any solutions that may add practical value to your projects. And so much more.Investment in research and development is a key area of focus for Business & Decision, which, along with the emphasis on providing quality services for our customers and consultants, characterises the Group’s objective to innovate the consulting and systems integration company model. Group Newsletter N° 21 (UK version)For a mid-size, international, specialist business such as Business & Decision, the ability to manage innovation is a must. Innovation is key for many of our customers, whether for core business activity or IT departments. We consider that the link between monitoring developments in technology and its transformation into a valuable offer must be broken down into several steps. Consequently, as soon as a subject likely to correspond with our strategy is detected, we actively contribute to expanding market awareness; we invest in tests, POCs (Proof Of Concept) or prototypes and we are often the first to support software vendors’ initial projects. At the same time, we evaluate the vendor’s commercial value and willingness to invest in the relevant market segment and we communicate with major international analysts to help identify future market leaders. In our industry, long-term investment is based on our ability to decipher the vendor’s roadmap and to help our clients navigate difficult situations. The market is becoming increasingly aware of what we are doing, understanding the solutions and the level of maturity in our approach. This has enabled us to start capitalising on our knowledge through new projects and investments. This is the principle we have adopted in our Master Data Management (MDM) approach and why, in this issue, we are able to present this to you. Enjoy the read.

Group Newsletter N° 20 (UK version)2009 ended on a more positive note, with revival in a number of sectors suggesting a more optimistic outlook for 2010. The worldwide economic crisis will leave countless negative impacts by the time it draws to an end, but the "Green" dimension could be a silver lining to this otherwise black cloud. Awareness of environmental issues is not a new concern, but required a catalyst to force organisations to take real responsibility. Unfortunately, this catalyst has come in the form of the economic crisis. Through trying to optimise and understand the effects of managing resources and energy consumption on our daily lives, we have become increasingly aware of the need to take steps towards the development of sustainable resources. The rise in cost of raw materials, economic uncertainty and the impacts of the crisis on jobs, has made the campaign for environmental sustainability more directly relevant to everyday life. The challenge involves adapting the way we live our lives and changing our consumer habits. We must focus on making profitable and positive investments for the future. In light of this campaign, Business & Decision has launched the Green data centre project through the Eolas subsidiary, giving users the chance to opt for a more environmentally-friendly solution for "green" hosting. Users of Eolas-hosted internet sites will be participating in environmentally friendly solutions.
