Mi Services is a privately held company based in Sunderland with a staff of 70 in the UK and 55 in the USA. For fiscal year ending 31st December 2005 Mi Services reported revenues of £13.86m. The combined entity will strengthen Business & Decision’s presence both in the UK (with offices in St Albans, Chester, Edinburgh, London, Oxford, Windsor and now Northwich and Sunderland) and in North America (with offices in Montreal and now Philadelphia).

There are many synergies between the two companies and together we can provide organisations with a range of best of breed business solutions.”

This acquisition is being funded by cash. The UK division of Business & Decision has a team of 120 consultants working from offices in St Albans, Chester, Edinburgh, London, Oxford and Windsor. During the first six months of 2005, Business & Decision Limited accounted for more than 10% of Group turnover. With the acquisition of Mi Services, Business & Decision sees its team strengthened to approximately 200 consultants, the creation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning practice and a substantial Oracle capability. It will also see increased collaboration between the UK and US practises.

The Business & Decision Group sees Enterprise Resource Planning as a growth area. During the first half of 2005, this new area represented 3% of consolidated turnover but it is estimated to account for 15% by the end of 2006.
