"This exceptional growth consolidates our vision and our development strategy. Our vision is based on a model able to guide our customers on complete projects with strong added value. Our development strategy is resolutely turned towards the international scene as well as new complementary offers such as consulting or certain ERP niches" explains Patrick Bensabat, CEO of Business & Decision. The expansion in Business & Decision’s international activities enabled the Group to generate 28% of its 2005 consolidated turnover from outside of France (23% in the first half of the year and 33% in the second half), thanks to a targeted strategy of acquisitions and the opening of new offices.
In October 2005 the Group reached a new stage in its international development, by establishing a presence in North America. The model and assets of the Group, as well as an important network of American partners, are being utilised by the headquarters of Business & Decision North America, in Montreal, Canada. The first solutions to be offered in this territory are ERP and Business Intelligence.
Domino Systems (located near Oxford in the UK) who specialise in Web creation and e-Business technology integration, joined the Business & Decision Group in May 2005, to consolidate its e-Business activity.
In addition, the acquisition of Brussels and Luxembourg based Nexhos in April 2005 (a consulting and engineering company with fifteen consultants), enabled Business & Decision to reinforce its expertise in Business Intelligence and CRM.Business & Decision continued developing its leadership in Business Intelligence (the Group’s original area of expertise), which accounted for 65% of the 2005 turnover.
Strong organic growth within CRM strengthened Business & Decision’s position as the French leader in the CRM market and throughout 2005, this area of expertise accounted for 17% of annual turnover.
An investment in e-Business enabled the Group to realise 14% of its 2005 annual turnover from this area of expertise.
Finally, a targeted strategy of acquisitions and the creation of new niche areas of activities enabled the Business & Decision Group to complete its offering:
• Business & Decision acquired Métaphora; a company specialising in change management within the framework of data-processing application deployment. Based in Paris, Toulouse and in Lille (France), this acquisition made it possible for the Business & Decision Group to offer new services based on process and organisation formalisation, with the objective to direct customers throughout each step of the project.
• The SAP partnership was strengthened, specifically in relation to the acquisition of Wel Network.
• Business & Decision launched a dedicated ERP practice. This practice accounted for more than 4% of the 2005 annual turnover.
• A consulting practice was also launched and will be strongly marketed throughout 2006.
