BNP Paribas Real Estate, an international property firm, offers a range of services; Property Transactions, Advice, Investment Management, Property Management and Promotions, and is considered one of the leaders within the European property market. The size and diversity of the company posed a challenge for the development of new financial systems that are adaptable to the growing businesses across France.

BNP Paribas Real Estate decided to redevelop the entire architecture of its financial system to meet the following objectives:

• modernise its financial software
• coordinate accounting and analytical procedures
• improve data quality and significantly increasing productivity.

Having decided to strengthen their financial systems by introducing an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution to cover all financial activities within France, the property firm engaged the services of SAP and Exens to assist with implementation.

In just two months, the Exens teams created an SAP prototype which met BNP Paribas Real Estate's requirements and complied with company policy. SAP Best Practices' and a tailored approach resulted in a successful response to the client's needs and objectives.

Six months on, the team undertaking the project has radically improved the processes in the accounts department that resides across the 350 branches in France, without compromising or interrupting the day to day activities and services. Benefits were realised after just one month of deployment, with improved speed and efficiency of data consolidation and closing of accounts.
